In order for the path rule to be used, it must be selected in the operation in sheetcam. The idea is they turn the torch height control off at certain points to prevent it from diving, or slow down the feedrate for corners to prevent rounding.

In there select the path rules tab and you can edit those rules parameters for your liking. Rules to prevent diving (Turn THC Off) and Rounded Corners:

Set the Code Name and enter the filename of the code to run in the box below, without the extension:.Under tools menu option, click the G code option. The code in this file simply toggles the state of the THC button on the plasma screen, effectively turning THC control on and off. If M244 already exists in your directly, change the attached file name to an available number and use that new number for the rest of the setup where we have 244. Attached is M244.m1s file and should be saved to the c:\mach3\macros\plasma\ directory (the path may be a little different depending on your setup and profile name). You can create custom code in macros to use for other purposes but that is beyond the scope of this document. Note: The info below is for enabling/disabling the torch height control. well it has one tool.SheetCAM path rules can be setup for things like turning off THC control on small parts and slowing down on corners. i still need to find a victor toolset dl as my sheetcam has no tools. i ended up importing them at 1.8 to make them fit the table in sheetcam. The images where comming in at a 25.1 size. i spent the rest of the day reading in plasmaspiders forums and found it! Just wanted to say thanks for the link to that site! Great info resource. only the corner of the image would lock to the red table. Went to take it to sheetcam and the image in dxf format wouldnt fit on my sheetcam table. Good info! Ill check out that link as well. I have 2 20 foot pieces i can use and some drain valve fittings as well.

Google Fransinator to see how to remove heat and water from your air compressor's air supply I heard it take at least 30 feet for the air to cool enough for the moisture to drop out of suspension. Plumbing your air system have the input end low sloping up to the output end so the moisture drains back to the input end and put a down pipe with a drain valve there. A 20 foot stick one way and a 20 ft back then around 8 foot to the filters to a rubber line to the plasma. Does that sound legit? If so im thinking about 40ft.

The Ingersoll dealer told me to run at least 25 feet of line before the filter assembly.

I found the part numbers in my TD manual that u gave me so i can at least know what they are as well. You can see the snippet of GCode I generated with the Sheetcam Post Processor and you will see all the A Axis movements in the GCode.

The thickest i plan on cutting and it would be small parts is 1/2". Im just ready to move forward and learn as much as possible. The last year ive been using the old oxy torch to cut everything so im praying its better than that whole experience! Lmao. The snippet will then be available when you create a toolpath. Lets say the sweet spot.Nice! Well i like tinkering so ill be searching for that sweet spot as well! Lol. All you have to do in SC to add them back in as snippets is to click on the button labeled 'G' in the Tools window and insert either M01 or M02. Victor makes you learn about what you are doing. Get into some thicker material, it's much easier to get a lower bevel cut. You can create custom code in macros to use for other purposes. Now that said, I like the Hypertherm and Esab better for CNC cutting overall. Creating Code Snippets: Note: The info below is for enabling/disabling the torch height control. Not so bad if you want deals on consumables. The power supplies are good, but the one torch is long in the tooth. (Same as the hand, in consumables) Like I said, you are in a good range for cutting with the Thermal, so you will learn a lot either way.

(Thermal) about 12/13 years with the cutmaster with a SL-100 machine torch. I messed with them forever, and it took that long to figure them out.

Their manuals really give you very good specs on setup. Hypertherm would of been easier to setup that's for sure.
